Food is Fuel! Your post workout window is an important to time to refuel and replenish. It is essential to eat a variety of Whole Foods. Although protein powders and powdered greens are convenient and have always been apart of my routines, I try not to become dependent on them. I also try to incorporate meals and smoothies that have all fresh foods. My favorite post workout smoothie right now is: 1 cup of cold filtered water 1/2 cup frozen Organic blueberries 3 tablespoons of Organic hemp seeds Organic locally grown Spinach Organic Honey Organic Cinnamon |

Enjoy delicious colorful food that is organic. Challenge yourself and learn how to grow your own food. Check out this beauty. Gorgeous greens and I tried a couple new edible flowers from our garden ...the blueish looking ones are lemon balm & the white are elder. Also enjoyed delicious Rosemary citrus tea with oolong, green tea, lavender, orange peel, black seed, lemon balm etc.. I'm super blessed that I can get ice in larger amounts locally that is reverse osmosis as well. #NomNom #SipSip #Lol #EnjoyHealthyFood #FindJoyInTheProcess |

Easy crock pot chicken fajitas. A nice eat clean option for dinner when you are busy! I cut up an onion & green bell pepper. I placed them in the bottom of the crock pot. I put 4 chicken breasts on top. I poured a bag of organic taco seasoning over the chicken breasts. I cooked it on high for 4 hours (or you can do 8 hours on low of course) I threw in shiitake mushrooms for the last 30min of the cooking time (optional) Pull apart the chicken or shred it in your food processor. Yum! And everyone is happy. #EatClean #LiveFit#NoExcuses #FindYourRhythm |

Healthy Electrolyte Drinks

Kids and I had an awesome track workout today! We had a great talk about hydration & electrolytes considering it was 96 degrees when we were running/working out. A couple recommendations. The new drink "body armor" has legit ingredients and recommended by pro team sport nutritionists. High in sugar but necessary for athletes who are sweating excessively and consistently. For example, football players exercising outside for two a days etc. Its available at Target. I use Ultima Replenisher when I feel the need. It has no sugar, legit & sweetened with stevia. My kids love it. |
